A-Z Blog Challenge: A

Welcome April and the A-Z blog challenge!  In line with my decision to incorporate my books into the topics, I’ve assigned certain days to some of the characters.  They’ll be able to add new perspective to the subjects so you don’t get bogged down with my stale personality.  : )

So, for our first post, A, I’m going to call on James Shilo to talk about Agency.  I’m not referring to agencies such as marketing or literary...though those would make great informative posts.  (I may use them for future blog topics).  But, I’ll let James explain its meaning in his book.

James?

Hello, everyone.  I’m pleased to begin the A-Z challenge by introducing the first topic.  Charlene is right.  Though there are many kinds of agencies in the writing industry, it has a very different meaning in my series, The Chronicles of Shilo Manor.

As one of the Sentinels assigned to Cornerstone Deep, I made certain covenants with the gods of this dimension, one of the foremost being that of upholding an individual’s agency.  All souls have the right to free agency, or to govern their lives as they choose—barring harmful effect on others.

Though we began our assignment with this forefront in our minds, over the two thousand years we served here another stipulation of the appointment, that of allowing the Lords of this domain to rule their people as they saw prudent gradually overshadowed this basic law.

It took a very personal and emotional situation to bring to light how much we’d digressed in our stand…among other things.

*Clears throat*  Um, Charlene?  How much would you like me to disclose?  Is it sufficient for them to know at this point that our relaxed standards caused great harm?

I think that will do for now, James.  Thank you very much.  As the month progresses, the others can fill in some of the gaps and it will make more sense.

So, until tomorrow’s B post, love life, everyone.

Great post Charlene (and James)! Keep it up. I can't wait to see what else the Shilos will share about themselves and Cornerstone Deep!
