Brothers of Audubon Springs Series, #2
Genre:  Contemporary Romantic Comedy

Annie O'Malley's dream of owning a secondhand bookstore in tight-knit Audubon Springs is coming true. Still reeling from her parents' sudden deaths, she believes that signs or messages can be found within the pages of books. She loves her job and has made plenty of friends but longs for the acceptance only love and a family can provide.

Tony Iuliano is there to fix the wiring in her shop. He doesn't believe in fate, magic, or the power of a good book. All this combined with his sexy-as-sin presence and all-knowing attitude infuriates Annie. The quirky bookworm intrigues him enough to accept her bet to read a book from her shop. When he discovers a stack of fifty-year-old love letters in the book, he wants to leave the past alone, but seeing it as a sign, Annie challenges him to read the letters and search for the long-lost lovers or lose the bet.

While shaking the dust off several ill-fated romances and fighting their attraction at every turn, the pair soon become the town gossip daily special. If they can stop arguing long enough, they may just discover this particular sign was meant for them all along.

RoseAnn DeFranco grew up in upstate NY with her nose in a book and a song in her heart. Following the pursuit of a musical theatre career in NYC, she turned her creative energy to writing funny, steamy romance with heart. A NJ shore transplant, she enjoys time spent at the beach with her family and would love to one day live in a quaint shore town like the fictional town from her BROTHERS OF AUDUBON SPRINGS series.

Maureen A. Miller's BEYOND Blog Tour

Beyond, #1

It is the day after Aimee Patterson’s high school graduation. College beckons, as does her dream of becoming an engineer. On an early evening walk, her cocker spaniel charges into the woods on the other side of the pond. Aimee trails after him, and in the stillness of that forest the unthinkable happens. She becomes paralyzed and watches in horror as her hands vanish before her eyes.

Waking to the sound of voices, Aimee realizes that she has been kidnapped. Little does she know how far away from home she is, though. In an attempt to flee her captors, she launches from their confines only to freeze at the view outside the window. The sky is black and filled with stars, and in the distance is a familiar blue globe. The planet Earth.

A group of humans forced to flee their planet after an epidemic destroyed their civilization now travel the galaxies in search of an antidote. Retrieving samples of plant life from every solar system, on this occasion Aimee was accidentally seized instead.

Aimee must learn to avoid the advances of an awkward young scientist who seems intent on dissecting her, as her own fascination turns to the exotic young warrior, Zak. Having fallen in love with Zak, she is now torn with the decision to return to Earth or live beyond the stars.

BEYOND is FREE on Amazon & Kobo.

Beyond, #2

They were coming.  It wasn't so much the sound that revealed them.  It was the subtle vibration of the ground beneath his feet, like the percussion of a distant explosion.  It was their march. The dead tread of stone against sand. A ghostly gait of menace.

Alone in a desert world...a world he once called home, Zak is now a damaged man. Reckless in his battle against the creatures that destroyed his family, he roams under the glare of the two suns, seeing phantoms--seeing Aimee.

Five years had passed since Aimee Patterson left the man she loved. For five long years she traveled the path of life, always waiting--always looking to the stars, knowing, hoping, that one day he would return for her.

And today was that day...

Beyond, #3

After spending years in space on an alien ship, Aimee Patterson is finally coming home. But this time she is not alone. Her lover Zak wants to meet her parents, and her friend Raja wants to experience life on Earth. Both get more than they ever bargained for.

Within days of being on Earth, Raja is caught up in an FBI sting operation. She is intrigued by Special Agent Craig Buchanan, but things go horribly wrong. Raja is faced with a dilemma. Save Agent Buchanan’s life or risk revealing her true identity.

It was supposed to be an innocent trip to Earth.... now Aimee, Zak, and Raja are fugitives of the ultimate kind.

A drawn breath sounded and then he managed a composed voice. "What are you doing on my ship?"

Yeah, he was not happy. The notion nearly made her smile.

"I didn't intend to stay on it," she defended. "But I climbed in—and then the hatch closed, and then next thing I knew you were on board, and before I even had a chance to say, Zak, I'm here, whooosh, we were off into the cosmos. And then I thought—I thought that maybe I could convince you to fly this thing to Earth."

A heavy silence loomed from the front seat.

Aimee opened her mouth to add more, but snapped it shut when she heard him say, "Stop."

"Stop what?"

"Stop talking."

She opened her mouth again, but shut it as Zak swiped his hand on the panel and she tumbled onto her side.

"Dammit, you could give me some warning before you do that," she admonished.

"If you were an approved passenger you would be secured in place, and I would not have to give you any warning."

She hated it when people were right.

"I have to concentrate," Zak continued. "We're in the approach to Bordran and it is a tricky one. In this atmosphere, I'm unable to rely on the TA's automatic landing references. I have to do this manually—and I need quiet."

Aimee held her tongue...for a second. "Am I going to go flying through the windshield when you land this thing?"

"Possibly," he grated.

She thought she detected a grin in his response. It aggravated her because it was at her expense. She climbed up onto her knees and spread her hands out, laying her palms flat on each side of the craft for leverage. No longer concerned about being detected, she could now inch her chin up and look out the panoramic window. She gasped, startled to find that the green planet which had appeared so minuscule on the Horus, now dominated the right side of the craft and seemed only miles away.

"It looks peaceful enough." Oh my God, she was about to land on a foreign planet!

"What you are seeing is a thick cloud of gas. The planet is far beneath that ring, and the voyage through that vapor is not an easy one. So yes, you could quite possibly end up going through the windshield. Fortunately, the windshield is made of a composite strong enough to withstand tremendous air pressure, as well significant fluctuations in temperature—" he hesitated while maneuvering the craft and then added, "—and catapulting young women."

"Is there anything I can do?" she cried, oblivious to his sarcasm.

"In front of you there should be a symbol that looks like a—"

"A circle with a line through it?"

"Yes. That one. Run your finger along the line, and back up a bit."

"Run my finger along the line and then back up?" she asked. "Or back up and reach forward and run my finger along the line?"

The sigh was unmistakable.

"Either. If something hits you, then move."

Aimee frowned. "You aren't being very nice."

"I didn't ask for a guest."

"I didn't ask to be taken from my planet."

"I didn't take you from your planet." Zak countered and added a hasty, "do it now, Aimee."

Jessica Stone's TROPICAL NIGHTS Blog Tour

Author:  Jessica Stone
Genre:  Contemporary Romance
Publication Date:  January 17, 2014
Format:  eBook

Lucas Kent didn’t expect trouble to follow him to Honolulu. But danger, like love, is often where you least expect it.

Alicia Baker is a directionless diamond heiress nursing an obsession with detective novels when a real life investigation falls in her lap.

When Alicia finds out Lucas is a murder suspect, she tries to fight her growing attraction to him to solve this mystery. With the enemy hot on their trail, Lucas struggles to find his friend’s killer before the killer finds them.

“I am not going on another blind date,” Alicia said, scooping Eli off the bed and depositing him on the tile floor. Eli meowed in protest.
“Come on,” Kimberly pleaded, entering the room behind her. “It’s hardly a blind date since you’re supposed to be at this benefit dinner anyway. Besides, it’ll be fun. How bad can it be? He’s Toby’s brother.”
“Uh-huh. As much fun as the last one? What was that guy’s name again?” Alicia pulled the sheets off the bed and tossed them into the laundry basket.
“Mark. How was I supposed to know he was an alcoholic?” Kimberly said, tugging at a pillowcase.
“And that he had a criminal record,” Alicia reminded her.
“All of it petty. Mark’s parents are influential members at the club,” Kimberly said.
“I know, I know. They’re very nice.” Alicia yanked the other pillowcase off.
“Exactly. Who’d have guessed that their son was such a head case?”
Alicia grabbed the basket and headed to the laundry room. “And how about the investment banker you set me up with who just happened to be married?”
“Details.” Kimberly sighed, following her. “Is it so wrong for me to want you to be as happy as I am? Besides, what else are you planning to do tonight?”
Alicia rolled her eyes and started the washing machine. “Laundry.”
Alicia brushed past her and opened the sliding glass doors to the backyard. She slipped on her flip-flops before gazing out over the palm trees and red hibiscus flowers to the ocean. She never got tired of this view.
“I thought I might do some reading as well.” Reading, movies, or anything else that might take her mind off that tennis match with Lucas earlier. Even several hours later, she couldn’t stop thinking about the look in his eyes before he left. She knew he was probably just angry because she’d bruised his ego, but she couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more to it than that. Oh well, I couldn’t do anything about it now even if I wanted to. She dusted off one of the seats, sat down in the shade by the pool, and tried to put it out of her mind.
Kimberly collapsed into the seat beside her. “Alicia.
She picked up the novel she’d left on the glass table. “Kim, you’re the only one who seems to be upset by the fact that I’m not seeing anyone right now. I’m perfectly content.”
And perfectly boring. You’ve hardly been hanging out with us at all lately. Since when have you been interested in being a shut-in?”
“I’m not a shut-in. I just hate bad dates even more than I hate feeling like a third wheel.”
“Which you wouldn’t be if you just let me set you up with this guy.”
Alicia glared at her over the top of her book.
“Not that you’re a third wheel anyway,” Kim added quickly.
“Uh-huh.” Alicia rolled onto her side away from Kim.
“Seriously. You’re being ridiculous.” Kim glanced over Alicia’s shoulder. “The Hound of the Baskervilles? Haven’t you read all of those Sherlock Holmes stories like five thousand times already? You’re really going to sit out here and read all night when you could be enjoying my company instead?”
“Good point. Since it hasn’t cooled down any, I’ll probably go inside and read all night.”
“You really won’t come?”
“Fine, if you won’t do it for yourself, do it for me.” Kim paused. “Do it for Toby.” She sighed, clutching her hands to her chest.
Alicia started laughing. “You’re such a drama queen. Besides, I barely know Toby.”
“But you know me.” Kim reached over, snatched the book out of Alicia’s hands and set it aside. “And I know Toby, and he’s worried about his brother.”
“Just what I need, another criminal.” Alicia turned away from Kim.
Kim hopped up and walked around the chair to face Alicia. “Oh, come on. He’s hardly a criminal. As a matter of fact, he's a doctor. Plastic surgery, I think. And he just arrived on the island a couple of days ago from Miami. Best to snatch him up before somebody else does.”
“Great. The sharks are already circling and he doesn’t even live here.”
“Not yet, but Toby wants him to stay. I get the feeling that something happened in Florida. I don’t know the details, but it wasn’t good. Toby thinks he’d be better off here.” Kimberly sat down on the edge of the pool and dipped her feet into the water. “Come on. Don’t think of it as a blind date, think of it as a night out with good friends. Besides, I saw a picture of him earlier. Total hunk.”
Alicia groaned. In spite of herself, she thought of Lucas. “Didn’t you just tell me not to think of it as a date?”
Kimberly smiled and kicked water at Alicia. “Does that mean you’ll go?”

Alicia sighed. “I hope I don’t regret this.”
