Release Day & Reviews Let's Party!

It's release day for The Transformation of Anna, and I have two awesome reviews to share with you!!!

I'll post the buy link to the first place it showed and will have to let you know when the print versions will be available.

Thank you to Jack at Readers' Favorite for a smooth 5 STAR review!

"The Transformation of Anna is first-rate fantasy, with a healthy dose of romance added in. Wilson has created a plausible, multi-dimensional world complete with gods, mythologies, and engaging characters. The world Wilson has created in The Transformation of Anna is complex, but infinitely and easily accessible to the reader. It's quite an amazing and impressive work with lots of action and adventure, heroic characters, and an elegant and satisfying romance. I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading more about the Shilos and Anna."

And Thank you Amber for your fantabulous deep review!

"The Transformation of Anna by Charlene A. Wilson is a beautifully stunning and deeply touching story of the darkest of treachery, the rebirth of lost love, and the discovery of hidden secrets. Being left absolutely breathless and deeply astonished after reading such an extraordinary story is a new experience for me. I am anything but disappointed in this superbly enchanting and endearingly exhilarating tale of deeply true and lasting love. My heart was captured and lost to this spellbinding journey!"

The Transformation of Anna Sneak Peek #4

I’m counting down the days until The Transformation of Anna is release on September 30th and I’m posting sneak peeks along the way to whet your appetite! Here’s…

Sneak Peek #4

Cole reached for the stout record keeper and passed a finger over the cleft. The picture of his love appeared in a flame.
James lowered his gaze. “Mianna.”
Swallowing the swell in his throat, Cole looked at the cherubic face. “James, I never considered what I did last night an option either.” As he looked at his brother, he sent his thought’s voice to reinforce his spoken words. “I didn’t intentionally seal that spell.”
James’ brow tightened.
“When she looked at me, I felt her soul call to me and I went to her. I didn’t inhale the spell to seal it with a kiss. I took a breath to relieve the intense...” he lifted his hand, trying to find the right words. How could he explain the innate connection, the call of a familiar soul to another in a realm known to have no rebirth?
He shook his head and picked up the Vignette. “I kissed her, James. And when I did—Gods, I didn’t want to stop. We shared a reath of Zephyrus, and it wasn’t like anything I’ve experienced since…”
“Mianna.”
Cole dragged his hand across his face and then looked James squarely in the eyes. “Take a close look at Mianna’s picture.”
James leaned over the desk and studied the innocent features of his past sister-in-law. He sighed and looked back at Cole.
“Now, look at the girl we just harvested.” He passed a hand over the sleeping image and the scene in the alley appeared. Motioning with his index finger, he singled out Anna as she looked at him before the kiss.
James’ features softened, but he met Cole with a resolute gaze. “No. That wasn’t Mianna, Cole. You know that’s not Mianna.”
“No, James, I don’t know.” Cole shot to a stand and rubbed a hand across his chest. Hearing his contemplations aloud set anxiety in his heart and seemed to solidify the truth. He paced to the far end of the room, trying to settle the knots in his stomach. “I watched her all night. There are similarities. Things only she did, things so deeply ingrained that they’re instinctive.”
James stood and met him at the picture window. His head leaned to the side, compassion seeping from his emotions. “Cole, people do a lot of things similarly.”

He allowed his heavy tone to accentuate his words. “Not these things.” He marched back to the desk. “I’m not talking about how a woman tosses her hair or scratches her nose.”

The Transformation of Anna Sneak Peek #3

Here we go again! I’m counting down the days until The Transformation of Anna is released on September 30th and I’m posting sneak peeks along the way to whet your appetite! Here’s…

Sneak Peek #3

She turned to the way she came and stared at the forms as they overtook the narrow alley. A man led center, his companions flanking. Each unified stride caused their capes to furl with controlled motion. The bleak lamp lit their approach—a dark trio. Reapers, all of them—black hair, black eyes, black cloaks. Curfew breakers are never seen again. At that moment, she believed.
Her body trembled and she backed into a corner for support. “This is a nightmare.” Her shallow voice quivered and sent denial through her. “This isn’t happening!” The tomb-like closure briefly echoed her claim but the measured steps resounded as they approached.
Anna held her breath as if to ward off the imminent danger. They stopped a few feet from her and the leader stepped forward.
Endless time filled her as she gazed at their resolute faces. She swallowed hard to ward off the want of air.
The leader gracefully lifted his hand as if setting a butterfly free. A mist, the brilliance of snow crystalline, encircled her and lingered in the air.
Anna struggled to withhold a gasp.
“You have to breathe sometime.”
The voice sifted through her mind. Her lungs burned, begged for relief. Fear gripped her as she succumbed to need and the tiny crystallites flowed past her lips.
The taste of divinity touched her senses and the promise of bliss sang in her mind. The invitation was overwhelming, irresistible. A wave of serenity coated her emotions.
She met his gaze.
A small smile touched his coal eyes that penetrated her soul. Opposition dissolved.
He inhaled the sparkling mist and leaned close. Cradling her face in his hands, he touched his lips to hers. They were warm and seductive, unexpectedly tender. The aroma of licorice and cream flowed through her. She accepted his attention, intoxicated by the offering. In a gentle motion, his tongue lovingly caressed hers. Eternity echoed in her heart.
With a breath, the magic spell filled her. Heat steamed her lungs and filtered throughout her body. Every wave carried with it memories; the last words of her father, the aged photo of her mother she clung to as a child.
Subjection engulfed her mind. All wonderment ceased under its capture. Rapture sealed her senses and final will vanished.

The Transformation of Anna Sneak Peek #2

I’m counting down the days until The Transformation of Anna is release on September 30th and I’m posting sneak peeks along the way to whet your appetite! Here’s…

Sneak Peek #2

Reclaiming her hand, they resumed their walk.

“Vince, where are you from? The more I think about it your accent really isn’t like any I’ve heard before. And though I absolutely get lost in those eyes, I’ve never seen any that dark.”

He looked at her questioning gaze and sucked in a deep breath. “We’re from far away. It’s not as far as you might think, but farther than anyone here has ever been. We have to guard our heritage strictly. We are very different from any one born to Terra.”

“Um...” she quirked her hand. “I know you probably meant that to sound different, but any one born to Terra?”

Shuffling to a stop, he looked into her blue eyes. “We’re not from Terra, Elaina.”

She nodded once and squinched her cheek. “So, you’re saying you’re not from this planet.”

He couldn’t tell if she was about to laugh or cry by the expression on her face. It could have been sympathetic grace as she thought he was crazy enough to commit into an institution. “I didn’t say I wasn’t from this planet. Just Terra.”

“Right. Well, Terra is a planet, Vince.”

“Just as Meridian.”

“So, you are saying, you’re from a different planet.”

“Same planet.” His words trailed into a whisper as he watched her for a sign of panic. “Elaina, I’m from a different…dimension.”

“Dimension.”

“That’s right. My home is Meridian. All people from the central realm hold powers similar to mine. It’s oldest, original, sets at the center and inspires the other realms.”

She glanced to the empty air. “I see. And we’re in the Terra realm.”

“Yes. Well, actually, Terra is a Cornerstone realm. Its position is called Cornerstone Deep. Your familiar name is Terra.”

Another nod. “And we all take after Meridian.”

“In a way. Inspiration echoes from the ancient souls and touches the younger, influencing much of the progression made.”

“So we have you to thank for the stinky paper mills and cars.”

“What?”

“Since, you know, your dimension inspires us. So all the other dimensions have paper mills and cars too?”

Humor puffed past his nostrils. “I guess you could say that, and yes. The cornerstone realms mirror each other, like the midway realms do. I’m sure they have a form of paper mill somewhere.”

Vincent set his hands in his pocket, delighted at how quickly she seemed to take to the information. “The level of influence is effected by how far down the spectrum the position is.”

“If we mirror them, is there a me there too?”

He paused as the odd question halted his explanation. “Well, no.”

“Not much of a mirror.”

“Um…” Her frank tone caught him off guard and he gazed at her with question.

“But you’re not from any of those places.”

Exaggerated innocence peered at him. Okay, she’s turned this into a game. “No.”

“And…your familiar is?”

He sighed and looked at the red brick path. “Champaign.”

“And what’s Champaign’s mirror-place?”

Champaign doesn’t have a mirror dimension. It’s at the center.”

“I see.”

“Elaina, no, you don’t see.” Cradling her face in his hands, Vincent shook his head. “This is completely new, and you don’t believe it. If this is too much, tell me. I need to know you won’t tell anyone.”

Her playful tone melted. “No offense, but if I told anyone this, they’d think I was crazy.”

Transformation of Anna Sneak Peek #1

The Transformation of Anna is getting ready for its release on September 30th and I’ll be posting sneak peeks to whet your appetite! So get ready for…

Sneak Peek #1

Her emotions flew through Cole with a resounding wow, neighbored by the flush of her nerves and a distinct sense of envy. At times like these, he could do without the ability to perceive other people’s feelings. She couldn’t be much older than eighteen and to know what a child felt when she looked at him was uncomfortable to say the least.

He glanced at his tailored black vest and trousers. No doubt he was a conspicuous sight, given their surroundings. The snowy white sleeves alone declared he didn’t belong among the stained and faded. His gaze caught her attention from her more than thorough perusal.

Her caramel complexion flushed. “Wow. Even your shoes are polished like glass. You’ve got to be Tom.”

The comment caught him off guard and he flinched. Few knew his alias much less his real name. “Excuse me? Have we met?”

“I’m Amy.” She giggled and motioned down the way. “Charlotte’s my mother. She told me all about you. I thought she was exaggerating but,” she bit her lip and her gaze flew over him once again. “It’s so nice to meet you. I think it’s great Mother’s dating again. Oh, and I think it’s so romantic you have a special way of saying her name.”

Cole furled his brow.

Amy nodded. “Yeah, she told me all about it. Sh’létte. She says it makes her melt.” Her nose wrinkled to meet the tight arch of her eyes and he thought she was going to giggle again. “You make my mother melt.”
